Truth and consequences

You might know me; this is a new version of my 10-year-old personal website. Although I'm still working on the new interface (it's a little too serious presentation for me; I preferred presenting a more casual face to the world) I'm happy to be back.

So on to it. I'm a newspaper reporter and writer. I've worked for small, medium and large newspapers around the U.S., freelanced for an early Web directory, started a successful online column about technology in 1996 and was the executive editor of a news website.

I recently recovered some long-lost columns, from the first years of Good Morning Silicon Valley and it's like reconnecting with old friends; I invite you to browse.

I write everyday for an audience of about 800,000 newspaper readers, and also contribute to the Post Mortem blog.
